The students will be focusing on their research projects, so I'd like the librarian to cover issues such as selection of a topic (the students will have had some direction already) and the use of library resources such as the catalogue and, especially, the databases. He or she should spend the amount of time necessary to go over these issues; it will help if there is some time left in the period for those students who want to get started to do so, however.
